A Million Little Pieces is one of the best books I have ever read.
This book was about a man named James who had major addiction problems with drugs like cocane and alcohol.
When he wakes up in a plane with to recolection to where he is he realizes his face is sore and he has a hole in his cheek. He cannot move and he's in great amounts of pain.
He gets sent to a rehab clinic by his family who picked him up from the airport and who were heart broken to see him like that. His mom crying did not help him feel any better.
He gets to the clinic and its not an easy start. He gets asked the same questions over and over again and he gets tired of responding with the same answer each time. He gets pestered by the other guests and he doesn't have anyone to talk to.
later on in the clinic he meets a girl named lily and they have a romantic connection right away but they get in trouble just for talking to eachother because you're not allowed to have any romance in the clinic.
Then he gets moved into a new room with a man named Leonard.
They get along well and eventually they get really close and Leonard helps James through out his problems in the clinic. James and Lily get closer and they begin to secretly date behind the staffs back.
James family comes to visit him at the clinic and they're there to tell his reasons why they think that he has addictions but because of the treatment he was a big enough person to admit that the reason hes addicted to drugs and alcohol is because he chose to. It's no ones fault but his own.
Lily was informed that her grandma is about to pass away and she was devestated to find that out and she immidiatly ran from the clinic and James goes to get her. When he finds her he finds out she was doing crack and he goes to save her, because of that she has to restart her whole treatment at the clinic and James is kind enough to pay for it.
When James is finished his treatment he wants to go to the bar. His brother yells at him saying "You just got out of fucking Rehab." James doesn't care and tells him that either way hes going if he goes alone or not. When he gets there he orders whiskey and doesn't drink any of it.
He tested himself and he passed. He told his brother he would never drink again. James was healed and was happy again.
